who will be the NEXT FORKLIFT OPERATOR OF THE YEAR?
This year, the Talent in Logistics Award for Forklift Operator of the Year will be determined by a series of virtual competition finals in September, specially adapted to keep people socially distanced and safe.
The Forklift Operator of the Year award, delivered in partnership with UniCarriers, will be filmed and made available to watch via YouTube and social media to ensure those across the sector still have the opportunity to support their friends, family and colleagues and be part of the event.
The virtual competition finals will take place in Telford, UK, on the 9th, 10th and 11th September. Keep up with this weeks competition finals by subscribing to the YouTube playlist here.

Due to Covid-19 the Talent in Logistics Awards this year will be a unique, online event that will be live streamed on YouTube and social media channels on Thursday 1 October 2020 between 8pm-10pm.
Regional finalists announced – 31 July
Live competitions (Being held at Telford headquarters) – September
- North Competition – 9 September
- Midlands Competition – 10 September
- South Competition – 11 September
Nominees must be a qualified counterbalance lift truck operator who has received training within the past three years, and must live in the UK. Please note, instructors can not enter this category.
Nominees can enter themselves, with a referee, or be entered by their trainer or manager.
- Nominees must complete an online questionnaire, testing theoretical knowledge.
- If successful after the online entry stage, nominees will be invited to participate at the live finals during September. Here they will face a number of interactive challenges where they will go head to head in demonstrating a high level of skill and safety through practical lift truck operation. (Please note that due to Covid-19 the finals will be conducted at one venue will social distancing being observed, supporters will not be able to attend and instead spectators can view online via a live stream).
2020 Awards Ceremony
- If successful after the live final stage, the top two competitors from each region will be invited to attend the virtual Talent in Logistics Awards ceremony on 1 October 2020.

This year’s Talent in Logistics Awards will be held virtually on 1st October 2020.
The top 2 competitors from each regional competition will be shortlisted as finalists.
