Many businesses and training providers are really making a difference to our industry by delivering learning and development programmes that show why it’s so important for training to be more than a tick-box exercise.
The Training Programme of the Year Award at the Talent in Logistics Awards is dedicated to celebrating the best of the best when it comes to training programmes. The accolade will be presented to an organisation that is delivering exceptional training programmes in logistics or LGV transport and can show it did far more than just tick the training box.
The judges will be looking for a training programme with a well-researched reason behind it, plus measurements of success and visible proven improvements post-training, like last year’s winners XPO Logistics, who scooped the prize for their operational compliance training programme.
To be in with a chance of winning, nominate your training programme online now.
You might be the training provider that developed the programme, or a company that delivered a programme in-house. Either way, it’s quick and free, so make your nomination today to be in the running!
As well as celebrating the very best training programmes, the Talent in Logistics Awards will also recognise the exceptional teams that deliver them with the Training Team of the Year Award.
This award is for an in-house training team which has worked together to overcome challenges, and successfully delivered training which has had clear and demonstrable benefits to the business. Last year, XPO Logistics made it a double, with their Driver CPC Training Team taking home the award. Could it be your team this time?
Awards entries close on 30th March 2018 and the shortlisted finalists will be revealed in April 2018.
The winner of both Awards will be crowned at the Talent in Logistics awards on 21st June 2018 at the Telford International Centre. The event will be a very special black-tie evening celebrating logistics and transport talent, and the awards themselves will be presented by this year’s celebrity host – top TV sports presenter. Jeff Stelling.

On the same day, the Talent in Logistics Conference will also take place at the Telford International Centre. With an agenda packed with relevant seminars, debates and panel discussions, this is an unmissable event for anyone involved in developing or delivering training programmes in the transport and logistics industry.
For example, the seminar ‘Understanding & Overcoming Resistance to Learning’ will look at why individuals don’t always want to learn, and how to create readiness in your team for organisation and behavioural change. Likewise, the seminar ‘Making a Business Case for Training Resource’ will inform delegates on how to successfully present a business case to decision makers for investment in training and training resource.
