Sharon Walpole

Executive Director

Called “a high flyer in the careers services” by Winifred Robinson on BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours, Sharon is recognised as a leading commentator on careers and qualifications. Sharon’s early career was in journalism and publishing. She moved to lecturing in Media at her local college, teaching A-Levels, vocational and HE courses.

In 2011, frustrated with the poor state of career advice and the lack of mentoring, she decided to do something about providing independent information on careers and qualifications by launching national careers magazine, Moving On. She has managed a range of other companies providing services to better the lives of young people, including mental health and assistive technology.

Sharon is now a Business Development Director at CASCAID, helping to give quality career information a further reach. She continues to be a regular guest speaker on career topics at industry events and on television and radio.
